At the Kansas City Suzuki Institute, we understand the importance of creating a welcoming and comfortable learning environment. Cello, violin and viola students studying in Suzuki Book 1 - 10 and beyond are welcome to come join us at the Kansas City Suzuki Institute and embark on a musical journey that will inspire and enrich your life. Students must be past their twinkles to participate in the institute.

Sample Daily Schedule:

9:00-9:50am - Violin Masterclass

10:00-10:50am - Chamber Music

11:00-11:50am - Fiddling

1:00-1:50pm - Student Honors Recital

2:00-2:50pm - Orchestra

3:00-3:50pm - Yoga and Movement Class for Musicians

4:00-4:50pm - Violin Repertoire Class

Depending on your child’s age and stage, their class load will include 4-6 hours of activities each day. Each student must be accompanied by an adult to experience the classes with them and chaperone them throughout the day. A typical student schedule will include masterclass, repertoire class (group class), fiddling, orchestra, chamber music, yoga for musicians or art class.

Check-in, orientation meeting and a play-in will happen in the afternoon and early evening of Sunday, June 23rd. June 24th-28th student with have their daily schedule, plus optional special evening events. The week will wrap up with a final student performance on Friday evening!

All institute lessons and classes will be held at Southminster Presbyterian Church at 6306 Roe Ave. Prairie Village, KS.
